We came back to Clemson in time for Grandma and Grandpa Seibert to come in for Christmas Eve. We celebrated with Mass and an assortment of traditional Seibert Christmas Eve fair- a shrimp ring, a cheese ball, and summer sausage, cheddar cheese and a sweet pickle on a toothpick. We also made a trip over to the Rapp's house to shoot off fireworks after dark. Now that's how you should spend your first Christmas in the South. (This was the first Christmas ever that we haven't gone to Ohio.)
On Christmas morning, we tried to get a good photo of the kids.
Which was about as easy as getting a photo of kids who are excited to open up Christmas presents.
Which is to say- impossible.
Finally, after we tortured them with my parents' classic "You have to wait until the coffee is ready" line, the kids got to open their presents.
Our present chaos looks like this. Very loud.
Henry and Grandma spent the week working on a 4D puzzle of Washington DC. The first layer is the topography, the second layer is of the streets. The 3rd layer is the buildings. And the 4th dimension is time- as you lay the building in sequential order. It was a fun puzzle.
The rest of our week was very calm. I spent most of it napping. Grandma and Grandpa took the kids to see Frozen. Grandma and I went to see the Biltmore Mansion in Asheville. It was a great week.
