If you didn't know by now, we're adding another baby! (Wow, I really am far behind on the blog, because baby #4 is set to be induced in about 11 days.)
The kids are so excited about a new baby. I took the pregnancy test in late August. In classic nosy Turner form, Henry walks in the bathroom and unleashes this series of questions:
"What's that stick thing?"
"Why is it wet?"
"What does it mean if it has two lines on it?"
We kept our big news secret for about 2 more hours until we went to a festival and suddenly people started approaching me, saying Henry was telling everyone that he was getting a new baby. So much for discretion.
It's been a fairly uneventful pregnancy- or at least uneventful for the baby. I on the other hand, have had the opportunity to collect all kinds of fun pregnancy side effects- 25 weeks of severe nausea and total food aversion (even the smell of cooking pasta made me sick), extreme fatigue, a constant bloody nose, and a super fun bout with whooping cough. Get your Dtap booster shots, everybody (it's all grouped into your tetanus booster now). As a fit, healthy adult, it was a good 8 weeks before I recovered, and I still feel the effects of it every time get a cold.
But here's a little bit of an upside- with mom sick on the couch, not too many pictures get taken. So my goal is to get the blog up to date in the next week and a half before the baby is born. Then that might give my guilt a little bit of a reprieve when I let it fall be hind again! Stay tuned for daily updates!!!
