January in one post.

January started out a bit sad for us.  The day after Christmas we received a call that June's kindergarten teacher had died suddenly.  We were all quite shocked.  June and I attended the funeral, where I was a mess, but June may have hugged every single person and said lovely things like "Mrs. Rhoads will always be in our hearts" and "Every time I read, I remember that it's because of Mrs. Rhoads."  June was really on top of her game.  5 months later, people still come up to us because they remember her in her big pink dress and the pictures she drew for Mrs. Rhoads.
In order to give the kids a chance to get together and remember their teacher, we set up a playdate where they could make flowers for Mrs. Rhoads.
This was the finished bouquet.

As you know, if there is a slight threat of snow, all the schools in South Carolina close immediately- usually for multiple days.  On one day, I convinced Henry to design a state.  Here's his South Carolina.
I spent my time off experimenting with a souffle.  It was very good and extremely gratifying when it came out 4 inches high.
Georgie started picking out her own clothes and really following June's lead in terms of layering.  She kind of looks like a LaLaLoopsy doll.
No thing never changes about Georgie- she NEVER STOPS TALKING.  And she requires constant companionship.  One day I locked myself in the bathroom with the ipad for a few minutes of peace and this is what happened.  It was like being in Jurassic Park, except I was being stalked by a three-year-old who wanted me to play princesses with her.

Henry and June discovered that if we cut across two backyards and around a fence, we can get to Katie and Maddie's house.  Now we all practically live together.  It's actually quite nice.  More of them, means less of everyone telling me there's nothing to do.
Katie and Maddie had a birthday party with the Critter Keeper.  And he brought a lot of BIG snakes!
Even June got in on the fun!

Twice!

Best party ever!
I picked up my sewing machine for the first time in months in preparation for my upcoming trip to China.  More on that soon!
Did I mention Georgie never stops talking?  That also includes during every mealtime.  Getting her to eat is hard work.  But I did figure out that if we make her lunch and send her outside, she'll eat everything.  So if it's over 40 degrees, she takes her lunch in the tree house.
June learned about Dr. King at school.  He had a dream, and June has one too.
Though her dream involved being a fairy and riding a unicorn.
I wasn't eating much with the nausea, but one thing did sound good- pho, a Vietnamese soup that is wonderful.  We found a little place in Greenville that serves it and I brought home a gallon of the broth to make my own.  It was great.

This is what 29 weeks pregnant looks like.  This also marked the occasion of my last class teaching step aerobics.  I can't say I was sad to stop.  My center of gravity was changing quickly.

What do you do if it's cold and your favorite rainbow shirt isn't warm enough.  Layer, layer, layer.  Even June's headband and socks were rainbow, too.
