Nashville and Chattanooga- October.

Another cold, gray morning, but we still had a few things to see.
First, I made everyone drive past Antique Archeology- the store run by the guys on American Pickers. Grandpa Seibert and I both like that show.
Next up, the Tennessee State Capitol.  We do love a capitol building.
This guy was in the middle of the War Memorial.

You can tell who was pretty tired at this point.
We skipped town rather early, so we decided to stop by Lookout Mountain to refuel our Civil War history levels.
Of course, this is where the kids had the best time.
Who wouldn't?  We could see almost anything up here- if it wasn't so foggy.
But it was fun running around and trying to stop the kids from falling down the mountain.
We'd been kind of stingy all weekend (because I hate spending money and taking the chance of someone having a total meltdown as soon as we get it.)  But, in a moment of extravagance- driven no doubt by the words "World's Steepest"- we decided to take the kids down the incline railroad.

It's a long way down!  I hope the cables hold!
 Looking tired, JoJo!
When one car comes up, the other comes down.  Henry explains how.
June thought it was pretty funny that I drove the car down the mountain and made it to the road crossing in time to wave at them.
The last stop was the Chattanooga Choo Choo.  It had a candy chop and a bunch of old ride-on toys.
