Last days of vacation- November 3-4.

We spent the rest of our vacation alternating between the beach and the lazy river inside.

Tricia and I spent our time looking for sharks teeth on the beach.  She found at least 20.  I didn't find any, despite spending hours hunched over looking.

Bea wasn't much help.

Nor was Georgie.

Our little suite worked out quite well.  The kids slept in the bedroom and we slept on a murphy bed in the living room.  Bea still wasn't rolling when she slept, so she slept on the couch.  And she was still small enough to fall asleep when we wanted her too, so napping wasn't too hard.

June, Maddie and Georgie hit up a souvenir shop and got these very deeply discounted tube dresses that they still love.  Henry and Katie decided to use their vacation money to go mini golfing.  We found a very cool, multilevel course. I spent most of the time in the bathroom trying to clean Beatrice up. She was suffering from constipation, but the stewed prunes we fed her kicked in just as we started our 18 holes.

Before we headed home, we had to honor our Myrtle Beach tradition- eating at Friendly's.  

So much fried food followed by so much ice cream.

June was the first to lose steam. 

Then her Friendly's coma kicked in.

Georgie took up the torch with her dessert and June's cone.

Even Henry admitted it was a bit much.  But at least we had a coupon!  Until next time, Myrtle Beach!

Ripley's Aquarium- November 2.

It was still cold out- and very windy- so we had to forgo the beach and headed to the aquarium instead.

And it was so much fun!

As a big family, we don't get to go to too many places like this because ticket prices add up quickly.  

But I was so glad we visited this aquarium.

Even Bea had a good time.

We walked through the tunnel about 50 times.

We watched a scuba diver feed the sharks.

And finally, there were mermaids!!

Mermaids who assured the girls that they were, in fact, real.  

Well played, aquarium.

Halloween Vacation!- October 30-November 1.

Look at this girl.  She's got her bags packed all on her own.

She packed up some markers, stamps, and about 100 other small things in preparation for our fall break trip.  

To Myrtle Beach!

October 31st and we're in our bathing suits!  Granted, it wasn't quite warm enough to swim, but we donned our suits and waded in nonetheless.

We didn't want to miss Halloween entirely, so we went to a trick-or-treat event at a big outdoor mall.  My little Bea was adorable as always. 

Finally! a picture of Henry as a Minecraft Enderman.  Also a big hit.  The girls continued their run of non-costumes.  

We were staying at a resort in a room that a friend had let us use for free.  Our ultimate plan was to camp with friends for the weekend, but the weather did not cooperate.  Luckily, we already had a room, so we stayed on to have some fun!  

Henry, Georgie and I spent a day at the Art Museum there they were hosting a Dia de los Muertos event.  Georgie got very into coloring a mask.  

And Henry did some paper folding and cutting.

Under the museum, they had kids reproducing a painting on the wall.  They gave Georgie some purple and let her paint a section.

The highlight of the day was getting to decorate a sugar skull.

Which Georgie promptly ate as soon as we got back to the hotel.

She liked it so much that she let me recreate it with facepaint.  

Add some cheetos and we've got an awesome vacation!

The rain stopped by Sunday and we headed back to the beach.  As usual, Georgie is unable to keep her pants pulled up, so we're always greeted with a glimpse of her bottom.  Poor kid has the classic Seibert body shape.  Round in the belly and no bottom or hips to keep her pant up.

On the third day, we were all just about ready to strangle each other (that's dad on the beach trying to escape us), when reinforcements came in.  

Reinforcements in the form of Katie and Maddie!  In November, all of the hotels are empty and very cheap, so the Davises also scrapped the camping trip and came to stay with us instead.

Vacation is so much fun when you have friends to share it with!

October round-up- October 18 to 30.

Did you know papa was on a softball team last fall?  And did you know softball teams down here are only slightly below professional leagues?

Luckily, papa and his team had a good time, even if they were mercy ruled before the 3rd inning.  I think they may have even scored a run or two by the end of the season.

Bea is ready to help out in the kitchen, but for now she's stuck with spatula inspection duty.

Georgie has been working on her computer skills and wants to spend all of her time playing LaLaLoopsy games online.  And taking pictures of playing LaLaLoopsy games.

Guess who is a big girl?  Georgie insisted that Bea try out her high chair.  She liked it for a minute, but she's still not quite steady enough to sit up on her own.

Henry's swim team holds a Halloween Truck or Treat and Float-In Movie.  They girls have been very wishy-washy about Halloween this year.  So I told them to find the craziest things they could find in their dress-up clothes.  June chose to be Thea the Thursday Fairy, from the Magic Rainbow Fairy Series.  And Georgie chose to wear her favorite dress- again.  At least Maddie wore the unicorn costume.    

Bea and I had already planned our joint costume.  Get it?  A Bea and a Bea-keeper? 

While I passed out candy, Georgie and her friend Ellie made the rounds. 

Look who came to visit!  Grandma heard Bea was growing too fast, so she came to get one last baby cuddle before it was too late.  And Bea needed it.  She was sore from her 6 months shots and took all the cuddles she could get.

Because this girl is getting big!  We call her "Little B&B Version 4.0."  All of the kids have worn this t-shirt Aunt Mary Ellen gave Henry as a baby. 

June and Georgie headed to Charlie and Isabelle's house to celebrate Charlie's 7th birthday.  (Of course, June and Andy hung out together the whole time.)

Charlie might be my favorite 7-ear-old boy ever.  His party was bird-themed.

Later, we went Trunk or Treating again.  (We're going to miss trick or treating this year, so we had to make it up).  Again Georgie chose her fairy dress. June wore her Indian dress with a pink poncho- obviously.

I know that the whole Bea-bee thing is going to get old, but I'm going to milk it for all I can.

We tried to keep up the Halloween theme.  This shirt was from when Georgie was a baby.  When I tried to squeeze Bea into the 3-6 month shirt, she quickly expressed her opinion on how she felt about it. 

Georgie is really into getting her face painted.  So much that she insisted on sleeping in it.  And when you just want your 4 kids to go to bed, you end up allowing it.

Oh, this cuteness is exhausting.  I have a feeling that our days of just laying Bea down anywhere for a nap are coming to an end.  I had to catch a picture of it while I could.

Georgie's nap did not go quite as well.  She has no idea how all of this marker got all over her leg.  The same marker also attacked the carpet in her room.  Hmm.  

Here's June's school picture.  That's a smile only an orthodontist could love.  And she's trying to grow her bangs out.  I think the Seibert awkwardness is closing in fast.

While Grandma was in town, we tried out a new project.  We "painted" the trees with glue, then painted around them.  Finally, we washed the glue off and the end result was this cool batik.

I'm not sure what scared June in this picture.  I'm betting it's barf.

Georgie and I set up a carpool to school.  So every day we get to see sweet 2-year-old Jack.  I could eat him and his sweet curls.

Georgie also loves getting together for lunch with Charlie and LJ.  They are not goofy at all.
