We got our first look at the new baby.
Just one! Hooray!
We decided to celebrate by tagging along to one of papa's conferences in Nashville. (I told you he was very busy this fall.) We decided to skip the inevitable traffic jam that would be Atlanta and cut through northern Georgia instead. And it's a good thing we did! We stumbled across the whitewater course from the 1996 Olympics!
I demanded we turn around because I love anything having to do with the Olympics!
The course was man made and down stream from the hydro-electric power plant and dam.
And it was really fun to play on!
Look at this big girl!
A view from the bridge.
Don't drop her!
June makes her own path.
Of course, it's all fun until a speed bump jumps up and trips you and your mom stops to take a picture before she helps you up.
A few miles down the river, we spotted a tiny little picnic area and had the best picnic as the sun went down.
This was much better than sitting on the highway in Atlanta!
And the kids even sat still for some pictures.
First, papa's turn.
Then mama's.
I'm pretty sure we had to promise cookies to get this good shot!
Have to say, this looks awesome. About how long did it take you to get there?
ReplyDeleteIt's about 2.5 hours away. And worth the drive!
