The end of school!- June 6.

I'm not entirely sure that a lot of learning took place in the last weeks of school.  Henry's class had a theme day for the last 26 days.  Including things like pajama day and movie day.
June's class had a pet week.  Laurel's dad brought in their chickens.

June's class did the cutest project- they started a journal at the beginning of the year and pasted pictures in next to their entries for all of their field trips and special days.  This was the last picture.

June wrote thank you letters to her teachers.  To Mrs. Upchurch, she wrote:
"I like you because you teech (teach) me math.  I learned a lot fo (of) math through the year.  Love, June."

To Mrs. Simoneaux: "Thank you for helping me learn how to read.  I like to read and spell and write! Love, June."

The day of school.
A side-by-side comparison of their first and last days.

Georgie, Bea and I celebrated our last day school with a trip to the bakery and an extra large cinnamon roll with Grandpa Seibert.
Grandpa was in Spartanburg on a job and came down to see us for a few days.

Here's another sleeping baby picture.  She's still not doing too much at 7 weeks.

She is starting to grab on to things.  Henry has been waiting for so long to set up this riddle.  Q: What did we eat for supper?  A: BeBeQ!

If you thought that the end of school meant the end of our full social schedule, you were wrong.  Bea tagged along, usually accompanied by mom's coffee.

June had fun at a birthday party.
The kids discovered that they can float all of their toys in water (as long as they keep it on the hard floor so we can clean up the mess!).

Georgie constantly demands that we take her picture and show it to her.

Side note:  It's becoming increasingly hard to wrangle all of our photos.  We now have 2 cameras, two ipads and two phones all capable of taking good photos.  Plus, there are all of the photos from facebook that other people upload.  I really need to catch up on this blog so it's not so much of a chore.

Finally, we occasionally bathe the baby.  I tell you what.  Disposable diapers are so good these days.  I remember having blow-outs fairly regularly with Henry.  Bea has only had a few, which really means she never has to have a bath.
Which is too bad for Bea because she loves to be in the bath.  Look for all of the puddles to see how much she likes to kick the water.
