We were so excited to find out that a bunch of our favorite people were moving to Nashville. First, my cousin Andy and Christina and their boys and next, my best friend from college, Elizabeth and her fiancee, Matt. June and I headed out there to visit everyone and to spend a day shopping for a dress for Elizabeth and Matt's wedding. (Thanks, Andy for watching June for the whole day so I could go shopping!)
Matt and I convinced Queen to try Nashville "Hot Chicken." This place was so great. We sat at a booth IN the parking lot.
Hot Chicken was right. I was so spicy, they warned us not to touch our faces or the baby until we really scrubbed our hands. Much white bread, coleslaw, and extra drinks were consumed. Then we went out for ice cream and realized we all had red rings around our mouths.
Back at the house, we used June's legos to build a model of what the wedding would look like. (It's actually quite accurate.)
And we spent a long time hugging babies and just hanging out.
June officially loves Nashville, because she got to be with Christina (with whom she has a very special bond) and Queen took her to the fancy mall.
There was a restaurant full of aquariums (which we didn't even eat at, but still impressed her), a LEGO store, and a Build-A-Bear workshop where she got to spend some gift certificates she received for her birthday. In short, it was amazing.
And don't feel bad for Brandon for not getting to come on the trip with us. He had his awesome hair to keep him company.
