My birthday- May 6th and 7th.

We've known for a while that Georgie's best friend Magda was moving to London.  But suddenly, the move was upon us and we tried to fit in as much time together as we could.
Including a trip to the beach, a bath, and ice cream cones on my birthday!

We also held our traditional neighborhood cake party.  I almost broke down and bought a store bought cake, but I just can't pay $10 for something that would cost $3 to make.  So I baked my own birthday cake at Juliet's house and it was delicious.

I received a very special present that's almost as old as I am.  Papa bought me a used 1st generation Zune.  I loved my old one, but lost it somewhere in DC.  There's actually such a loyal following of the now defunct Zunes that they still are worth something on the secondhand market.  I know it's lame, but I just like being able to push a button to get to the next song when I'm driving instead of swiping through a bunch of screens.  It's safer, okay?

Bea continues to be a cool kid.  When she gets fussy, we station her in front of a window and she spends some time contemplating nature.

She also likes contemplating any source of light.

Baby yawns are the cutest!

And they sure take a lot out of a kid.

Zonked.

JoJo was very into the idea of making Mother's Day Cards this year.  She made a bunch of thumbprint flowers to send out.

June's cards were more free form pieces of art, involving lots of glue.  I think Henry's were squares of paper that said things like "I like that you have a tractor at your house."
Bea tried to make some footprint butterflies, but hated it.  It's probably the first time in her life that she's really screamed.  I hope it was worth it, Grandmas.

While Henry and his friend Paul Carter carpooled to swim, we kept PC's little sister, Ellie, who loves to come over and dress up.  She is adorable.

Bea sleeps again.

And June shows off the unicorn towel Aunt Christina sent her.

Look who's hair is (sort of) long enough for piggies!

If we had to name one concern we have with Bea, it's that she spent a significant amount of time with crossed-eyes.  Seriously crossed-eyes.

We didn't think there was much hope, but they seem to be pointing in the right direction these days.

This kids is seriously spoiled.

A view at 3.5 weeks.  I see a few arm folds!

Mama was really excited to get these jammies out.  Aunt Christina bought them for Bea on Chinese New Year in Jiangyn.
