There's an old restored steam engine that travels between Detroit and Ft. Wayne occasionally. And thanks to the wonder of the internets, we could track the GPS so we could see exactly when it would pass by.
So Uncle Kevin and Brandon took the kids up to see it pass by.
That's one loud train.
Look at this kid. He doesn't look like a little guy anymore. Even is he is way too much of a goof to ever take a real picture. (Grandma styled his hair, by the way. I wasn't terribly sad when he didn't continue styling it because that would have been way too grown up for me.)
Georgie and I trying to get a picture of my fresh hair cut.
Later, we got goofy ourselves, so Grandpa, Aunt Jenni and I jumped in DUGSTRK and headed over to Buck Cemetery, a notoriously haunted old cemetery down a very long lane off a dirt road in the middle of nowhere. (And in northwest Ohio, that's saying something.)
We were looking for some old graves for a website. (But we couldn't find them. A lot of the graves were unreadable or badly damaged.)
Next to Mister Buck himself. (in my awesome new Fairview shirt!).
Did I mention the long lane? There were a few times in high school that my friends and I would talk about going, but there's no way I'd go down there at night.
