We spent our time in Ney enjoying the bounties of northwest Ohio.
Arps cottage cheese (the best in the world) and mulberries from the yard.
Then we decided to try to make George Washington and Abraham Lincoln cookies.
Natalie's looked really good.
Keep yours out of the ketchup, Tessa!
June thought these were great because "Abe" is her favorite president, you know.
Oliver was anxious to eat the cookies, but waited for a picture, unlike Henry.
Our turn with the big kids (Natalie, Henry and Oliver) was even easier than having the little ones. Mostly, they wanted to hang out in the camper (where all of the kids insisted on sleeping-without adults- every night.) We saw a cool experiment on Facebook using milk, food coloring and q-tips dipped in soap.
Georgie wrote this letter to papa. Bea posed to share in the sentiment.
Georgie helped Grandpa feed the kitties.
There has to be at least 16 cats in this picture alone. When you are out in the yard, there are always groups of cats lounging around everywhere.
At 12 weeks, Bea started making some sweet cooing sounds. Compete with nice smiles. And vagrant cats roaming around in the background.
One night after supper, we went over to Great Grandma and Grandpa Seibert's house to visit and do some puzzles while cuddling a sleeping baby. It was a nice quiet evening. We need to start visiting in shifts more often.
And once again, though we were sure papa was missing us terribly, he had to spend his days in beautiful gardens like this.
If you're going to be lonely, you might as well be somewhere nice.
