Most of the Turners were living it up in Ohio, but Brandon was living it up in a very different way in California.
He was at a conference at a very posh hotel where the cars were worth more than our whole family. (Not to brag- but the hotel was also where Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3 was filmed- so it was VERY fancy.)
Because he knows that fancy cars don't impress me, Papa did make a trek to an In-N-Out Burger. NOW I'm listening.
The conference goers also visited a local high school to watch the fireworks for the 4th. It appears to have gotten crazy.
We bid farewell to the greater Columbus area and headed north. But not until after Bea made a mess of herself. Seriously, this kid.
When we got to Ney, the Tallers were already waiting for us. Evie held Bea AFTER we changed her clothes.
Grandma immediately rocked Bea to sleep.
And she woke up as she always does- very happy. Ad we're lucky for that. We have to wake her up often to fetch her siblings.
Annalise and Georgie doubled up on the tire swing.
Uncle Jim and Grandpa assembled the glider- which is over 100 years old and belonged to their great-great-GREAT grandparents. I remember swinging on this when I was a kid. It's still very solid.
Bea waited for the big ids to get off before she took her turn. We spent a lot of time swinging Bea to sleep on the glider.
When she wasn't in the glider, Bea also got a turn in the tire swing.
Hudson was allowed to go a little higher than Bea. And he showed us his tricks.
Uncle Jim loves a baby, but still has his priorities straight- especially when you're racing kids through a bag of Doritos.
The weather was so nice that Bea got her post-barf bath outside.
Hudson is the best 5th kid. He takes his naps on the couch while everyone else plays. I bet he's like Bea and hates it when the house gets quiet.
We couldn't have asked for nicer weather in Ohio. It was consistently cool with a breeze. I miss summers up there. We spent all of our time in the back yard.
Grandpa pushed the highest of all. I think I've seen this shot before. I think that might even be the same shirt.
Aunt Jenni shared her beer with Bea.
That's actually a pretty risky move considering her recent spit-up prowess.
Hudson and I shared the Doritos.
And later, Hudson and Bea shared the same nuk.
Then they shared the blanket with Cecelia and Grandma.
