Thanksgiving at home- June.

On Thanksgiving Day, we were at Grandma and Grandpas house.  I want a pile of mashed potatoes THIS tall.  (Just kidding.  I refused to eat anything off the Thanksgiving menu, as usual.)

This year, we had a stroke of genius- a store-prepared Thanksgiving dinner.  Best idea ever!  It was so good!
We did have homemade cranberry jello and a growler of home-brewed beer courtesy of Uncle Jim!

A big meal and a glass of beer gave the grown-ups some courage to go outside and shoot Grandpa's rifle.  (Look at mama's mismatched shoes.  She wasn't paying attention when she packed.  At least she packed a left and a right.  They did work for a 3 mile run she took with Grandpa.)
Aunt Jenni was first up.
Then Uncle Jim.
Mama doesn't want to brag, but she got all of her shots in the smallest circle.
Next up, we drew pictures on a pumpkin and tried for them.  Grandpa made quick work of his groundhog.
Aunt Jenni and her target.  Doesn't everyone spend Thanksgiving shooting downhill at a target pasted to a TV box?
Finally, all of us kids sitting at the back window yelled loud enough to get the grownups to put away the guns and targets so we could FINALLY go outside to play.
