Our little kitchen- June.

If you know mama, you know she really likes to try foreign foods.
A couple weeks ago, she and papa went out for pho.  After supper, mama decided to order dessert.  It was a parfait of mung bean paste, red beans, green "jelly,"  and coconut milk.  It was actually really good.
And because we don't get to go out to eat all that often, mama usually tries to make her own foreign food at home.  Just to show you, this is the extent of our kitchen counter space.  And this is the amount of "help" we generally give mama.
(I was pretty mad that mama wouldn't let me hold the hand mixer.)  Despite our limited space, mama still manages to whip up some fun stuff.  And since this is our blog (and primarily for mama's amusement), mama has been debating posting her creations.  Primarily because none of us ever appreciate them  (except papa).
Garnaches to celebrate Belize's Independence Day.
Fried fish and coconut red beans and rice- also from Belize.
The nicest looking turkey mama has ever made (in honor of the after Thanksgiving clearance sale) and maybe the only turkey seasoned with asofetida.
A classic Iranian meal for Eid al-Adha.
Kaju Barfi for Diwali.
