As part of our coop, mama has to volunteer in our classrooms. Between Georgie and I, she's in the classrooms at least once a week.
On Wednesdays, we have Mini Movers, a class where we get to run around and dance a lot. Mama loves it because we get to play with the parachute. Mama loved the parachute when she was a kid. (And some kid stuck a greasy finger on the lens, so all of these pictures are a little blurry.)
We always get to throw something on the parachute. Sometimes it's stuffed animals, today it was styfoam peanuts, or "snow." (Now, instead of the parachute, we play drums and Asmara and play "marching band." It's so loud.)
Afterward, we line up to head back to our class. Every day we all have jobs. Today, I was the line leader. This picture is so representative of my class. I'm sulking about something (I've started in on the 4-year-old drama, usually with my equally stubborn friend Kiyoma.) And Kelvin generally has his finger in his mouth or his belly button. In order, we are me, Lydia (I love her, but I think I might be too loud for her liking), Mercan, Kelvin, Kalpana, Claire (a kidred spirit who also dresses herself), Charlene, Ami, Amna, Dilkini, Nethuja, Nasaina, and Hanna.
Back int he classroom, we settled in to work on our calendar.
Over in Georgie's class, they were getting ready for their Thanksgiving feast. Georgie is sitting next to Haleigh. Elaine's older brother goes to school with Henry. Yohansh's mom and mama are friends (she invited us over for tea once). You can't see Madison, and Anush is next (we went out to BounceU for his birthday.)
Thank goodness someone brought good food and not just fruit (mama).
So good! Did you see my headband? I'm just like June.
