Remember when we used to braid June's hair to make it bumpy? Now we have to do much smaller braids to get it all.
But it is awfully cute when it dries!
Though it does show off my poor hair cutting skills.
Henry and June have been diligently practicing their piano. June is learning to play with two hands now. Here's Camptown Races.
Not a great picture of the fast mover, but I did want to document her wearing my favorite jammies of all time. All four kids wore these.
Georgie's class dressed up as storybook character's for Valentine's Day. Georgie dressed up as a little girl from a valentine's book, who incidentally wore a plain purple dress. Not as exciting as a princess, but Georgie seems pretty happy to be on theme.
I boiled the perfect egg. This was a really big deal for me. So naturally, it has to be on the blog.
Georgie wanted to build a "puzzle floor"- where you build so many puzzles to covers the whole floor. But how do you do that when you have a pesky little sister who can crawl and get into everything and demands to be close to you at all times? Georgie had the best idea. And it worked, except when Beatrice could get close enough to pull Georgie's pigtails.
This is the life, mom.
I love this sweet, enthusiastic girl who is always so pumped for the opportunity to check the mail.
The kids have been busy turning over the garden for me. And a moist spring means our normally rock hard soil is cute soft. During their imaginative free play this week, the girls pretended they were slaves digging a grave for poor, dead Beatrice. Maybe we should let them have more screen time.
Grams came into town for the week. Of course the first place we visited was the Village Baker in Pendleton.
This year, I volunteered to run the Elementary school's International Festival. It's always very popular and I don't think I ruined it for too many people.
I always want the kids to participate in the Parade of Nations. This year Georgie wore and Indian shirt and a French hat. She really is a melting pot.
I didn't get many pictures as the halls with all the food were packed! But I did get a shot of the African drumming circle.
