Eating dirt- March 16-19.

One of the spring's favorite activities is digging in the garden. Luckily, I'm a terrible gardener, so no crops are at risk.  Here Georgie takes a break under an umbrella in a hole.  Obviously.

Bea LOVES rice. And loves making a mess of it.
Back outside.  This time Bea does some exploring on her own.  I believe this is the farthest Bea has ever been from me while actively in my care.  This is new territory.

Because honestly, if you take your eyes off her for one minute, you're likely to find her eating dirt out of a ditch.

And we should have let her smear more dirt around, because for the first time, I just got the joke of this shirt.  Aunt Molly gave it to us when Georgie was a baby and I only that day (2 kids in) got the joke.  Sorry, Aunt Molly.

Why are these cool cats kicking it in Taco Bell?  Why, to celebrate the refinancing of their mortgage.  Yeah, grown up things!

Poor Bea has to be woken up from her morning nap to go get Georgie.

It makes me sad to wake a sleeping baby, but I do like getting to sneak in and catch a glimpse of this sweet thing.
And her sweet little teeth.

Until disaster.  Bea was crawling in the kitchen and Henry came up too fast behind her and knocked her over.  There was a great deal of mouth blood and we determined that she'd ripped her frenulum.  One urgent call to our family doctor late (it pays to be friends and have his cell number), it was determined that she'd love.  Even if that swollen lip might make us all cry.

Speaking of frenulums, we're going to have to pay someone to have June's clipped, because that gap in her teeth only seems to be getting wider.  Maybe Henry can knock her over too.

Here's June's interpretation of "Camptown Races." I love it all the way down to her crossed ankles.

Finally here's a picture of mom and her friend, Meredith.  Mom's looking pretty greasy, but parents are sorely underrepresented on the blog and we thought you might appreciating knowing they are still around.
