Periodically, our apartment complex will throw a big shindig for the kids. Easter was no exception.
They had tents and balloons waiting when we got outside.
June is very afraid of people in mascot costumes, so she hid from the Easter Bunny with papa.
This time, I kind of agree with June. There is something not right about that Easter Bunny costume.
When it came time for the easter egg hunts, the kids were divided up by age. Georgie went first.
Being her first Easter egg hunt of the season, she did not understand and went straight for the slide.
We managed to sneak in after the hunt and uncover an egg for her to find.
June's hunt was marred by the fact that the Easter Bunny also entered the area and June refused to even step foot on the grass. With 10 seconds to go, he wandered far enough away for June to swipe a few eggs.
Henry, the old pro, ran straight in and filled his bag.
After the hunt, the kids took a break and got a snack.
Jo inhaled her marshmallow kebabs.
Henry grabbed some caramel corn.
Fueled by sugar, June took some time to show us how jumping jacks are done.
The Easter Bunny left! Now we can celebrate!
And Brandon remains the only kid who will smile and look at the camera simultaneously.
As if this party couldn't get any better, pizza arrived!
Georgie brought down the house with her giant piece.
June, Nellie, and Henry. Poor Henry, you can really tell he's still not feeling well.
After the pizza, more treats and gift boxes came out. The girls happily occupied themselves by picking wildflowers in the yard. Apparently, this poor person's window well grew amazing flowers. I had to keep telling them to get out. They also picked up a friend in this little boy. He followed Jo all afternoon.
